The Photography Class Tripod

In photography class, the instructor told everyone to use a tripod for a steady night shot. At the park, each student arranged a camera beneath the streetlights.

Amir came back with the sharpest photograph of the fountain. The instructor congratulated him.

“What shutter speed did you use?”

“I don’t know,” Amir said.

“Did you use the tripod?”

“Yes. I followed your instructions exactly.”

He pointed across the path to a three-legged stand.

His camera was resting on the fountain wall. The tripod was holding his coat.

“It kept me warm enough not to shake,” Amir said.
