Hassan received a message saying his parcel had been delivered. The proof photograph showed a brown box beside a blue front door.
His door was red. He walked along the street, studying every porch. At number 42 he found the blue door, but no parcel.
He rang the bell. A woman answered and checked the picture on his phone.
“That’s my door,” she said. “But I’ve never seen that box.”
She zoomed in on the photograph.
“Look at the number on it,” she said. It was 24, printed on a cardboard prop.
The delivery driver had photographed the display window of the homeware shop across the road.
