At a charity auction, a sealed mystery box drew the highest bid of the evening. The auctioneer said it contained something useful for every household.
Priya won it and carried it home. Her husband asked what she had bought.
“A surprise,” she said. “The bidding got very competitive.”
They opened the box together. Inside was a roll of wrapping paper, a ribbon and a blank gift tag.
Priya read the label underneath.
It said DONATED BY THE AUCTION COMMITTEE: THE BOX IS THE PRIZE.
Her husband held up the ribbon. “At least you’re ready to donate it next year.”
