A family put up posters for their missing dog. The picture showed a fluffy white terrier with a blue bow. The phone rang within an hour.
“I’ve seen him,” a woman said. “He’s at the park, but he isn’t wearing the bow.”
The family rushed there. A dog bounded toward them, covered in mud and carrying a stick.
“That’s ours,” said the father.
The caller studied the poster, then the muddy dog.
“Are you sure?”
“Absolutely,” said the father. “The bow was his idea for the photograph. The mud is his normal outfit.”
